PAMA SAFE SCHOOL: PAMA AND EAST KUTAI POLICE COLLABORATE TO CREATE TRAFFIC SAFETY PIONEERS

As a manifestation of its commitment to the company's safety pillars and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) culture, PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) East Kutai (Kutim) Area has once again implemented the PAMA SAFE School program. Collaborating with the East Kutai Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas Polres Kutim), PAMA held a safe driving education event for 94 cadet students at SMK Negeri 2 Sangatta Utara on Monday, February 23, 2026. This educational agenda was structured comprehensively, encompassing safety riding socialization, understanding of traffic signs, and a coaching clinic for the driver's license (SIM) practical exam. Representing the management, PAMA East Kutai Area CSR Representative, Rafael Aryawinang, stated that synergy between the industrial and educational sectors is crucial in building safety awareness from an early age. "Kami berharap para siswa tidak hanya memahami teori, tetapi benar-benar menerapkan prinsip keselamatan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari," Rafael explained. The company's positive initiative was enthusiastically welcomed by the school. The Principal of SMKN 2 Sangatta Utara, Mustari, emphasized that traffic discipline is a direct reflection of a student's integrity and character, both within the school environment and in society. Also providing guidance during the interactive session, the Head of Traffic Safety and Security (Kanit Kamsel) of the East Kutai Police Traffic Unit, Police Inspector Two (Ipda) Sasnural, reminded the participants of the importance of checking their physical condition and vehicle roadworthiness before driving to prevent fatal accidents. Through engaging simulations and discussions, this collaborative activity is expected not only to equip students with proper traffic ethics but also to establish SMKN 2 Sangatta Utara as a safety pioneer school. PAMA remains optimistic that this sustainable educational program will mold the younger generation of East Kutai into tangible agents of change in realizing road safety.
